Menu planning

Having defined the recipes and been able to calculate the total costs and costs per portion of each recipe, the menu planning facility allows a plan to be constructed of projected meal production. The plan can be defined for a day or series of days, in terms of meals, courses, and recipes in each course.

Any number of plans can be defined and these can bet set up as 'cycles', for example a seven day cycle plan, or monthly cycle plan. A quantity factor at each of the levels provides for assumptions to be made of quantities consumed where meal options are available.

This powerful facility is particularly useful in a fixed catering environment where projected ingredient requirements and costs can be calculated, including nutritional data for each of the levels in the menu plan.
