Recipe and menu costing

Traditionally recipe costing has been a 'hit and miss' affair with a large element of guess work involved. Millennia Food & Beverage provides (optionally) detailed recipe costing which is maintained up to date as ingredient cost prices change. Each recipe is built up using the quantity and yield of each ingredient, or sub-recipe, which forms part of the recipe being defined.The number of portions produced by each recipe is defined and whether the recipe is a fixed number of portions or not.

Costs of the recipe at both 'standard' cost and 'latest' cost are calculated immediately on-screen including the cost of 'left-overs'' where applicable.The system provides the option to enter the food or meal production for any particular period which can update the stock figures of all the constituent ingredients.

In an EPOS environment, production quantities can be combined with or replaced by sales through EPOS of the final food items sold in the outlet.
